Ltd “Velokurjers” was established in 1999, when members of a sports club “Velogrupa” started to provide courier service for enterprises in order to make resources for participating in international bike activities.

The company has been growing and developing step by step, being the first one to acquire and introduce new technologies in the express mail market and maintaining an active social position at the same time.

In 2001 "Velokurjers" was the first courier company to introduce the use of portable radio sets in it`s service. In 2007 the company introduced a software what automates the order reception process to save client`s and employee`s time. Moreover, a system to follow the courier movement online was introduced what enables to choose the optimal route for the fastest delivery and to find effective solutions in difficult situations.

From 2009 we offer our clients the option to follow the delivery process online by sending a link to their e-mail address. By clicking on it a map opens where our clients not only can see courier movement on the map online but also see parcel receiving, delivery time and the name of the person who has signed for delivery.

At the moment "Velokurjers" is the third biggest enterprise in Latvian internal mail service market being an absolute leader in one day delivery service in Riga and the most modern in Eastern Europe. The workers (38 proffesionals) include bicycle, motocycle, car and van couriers, so the enterprise provides vast kinds of courier service: delivers documents, flowers, computers, furniture and several cargo units.

The dispatchers also are excellent logistics who find solutions in the most difficult situations and react operatively to orders, prepare accounts and give the needed information to the clients.

The manager of the enterprise is Oļegs Stoļarovs-Zariņš, who is one of the well- known specialists in bike- transport and bike- tourism in Latvia.
